LAURIE
Laurie Victor Kay studied at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and Columbia College in Chicago where she received her B.F.A. in photography in 1995. She is the past winner of the Prix de la Photographie. In the summer of 2015, Laurie’s work was presented at Art Seen, a juried exhibition at the Joslyn Art Museum. Her work has been featured in Photo District news and she was a selected artist for the Brussels Accessible Art Fair in New York City in the fall of 2016. Through her recent collaboration with the Jim Thompson Thai Silk Company, Laurie has also blurred the lines between art, fashion, and photography to design and produce three limited edition silk scarves. Galleries in Chicago and Sun Valley represent Laurie’s fine art. Her works are in numerous private collections throughout the United States. Laurie owns Laurie and Charles Photographs in Omaha, Nebraska where for the past 22 years she has worked collaboratively with her husband Charles Kay Jr. Commercial clients include the Tiger Woods Foundation, Nike, Proctor and Gamble, AT&T, the New York Times, Condé Nast Traveler, and Travel and Leisure, among many others.
